Using videos as stimuli to increase students’ confidence in speaking in the Germen language classroom

Anna explored how videos can be used to stimulate student speaking in German, examining the impact of their use on students’ confidence and their intention to continue learning German in GCSE. She conducted her research with Year 9 students within a high/middle set and found that by adopting a focus on students’ interests and needs, the use of videos could enhance their cultural awareness. She intends to replicate the intervention with other classes in future years.
