Sustainability Education Colloquium: An Oxford Education Deanery Event
From 17:00 to 19:00 on 7 July; 10:00 to 16:00 on 8 July
At St Anne’s College & Wytham Woods
Free (limited number of places)
For head teachers, senior leaders, and educators of secondary education.
Join us for a two-day professional development event to learn from Oxford’s world leading researchers about climate change and sustainability, and the implications for secondary school policy. Set in the intimate environment of St Anne’s College, Oxford, over dinner, and at the beautiful University of Oxford research woodlands at Wytham Woods, this event brings together educators from across the region to explore the role education can play in addressing climate change and sustainability objectives in secondary schools. Together we aim to pool views and experiences, and debate potential routes forward, supported by input from university researchers in education, climate, biodiversity and psychology.

This is one of three summer workshops being piloted by the Oxford Education Deanery in 2023. These workshops will be offered to teachers and school leaders free of charge (for a limited number of places) and we will be gathering participant feedback to help us refine plans for the development of a broader programme of short courses into 2024 and beyond.
