Kids’ Conference Oxford 2021
The Oxford Education Deanery is delighted to be partnering with Australian Catholic University (ACU) as it hosts the first Kids’ Conference Oxford on 2nd July 2021. This is a virtual conference, giving young people a showcase for their work as researchers.
The Kids' Conference provides secondary and primary students with the opportunity to present their own innovative research projects (within or across particular subject disciplines) that draw on new and emerging technologies.* Students can present solo or in small groups of up to five. The Kids' Conference offers dedicated outreach support leading up to the conference via Zoom or phone for schools if required.
For more information go to https://kidsconference.online/. You can get a flavour of the event by seeing this short film kindly produced by the Department of Education and Training, Victoria, Australia.
You can also contact Katharine Burn (Co-ordinator of the Oxford Education Deanery) via email: email@example.com to discuss possible ideas or to find out more about participation.
A Zoom video conferencing link will be emailed to the participating schools after registration closes on 21st June. Presenter materials will need to be submitted to the Kids Cloud by 28th June.
*The use of technologies may feature as the focus of the research, but obviously may simply feature be used in conducting the research or in reporting its findings.
