Being a teacher in the digital age: Effective professional development in online social spaces

On 7th July 2020 The Deanery hosted a webinar which focuses on social media in education – based on Dr. James Robson’s research about how teachers use social media and the webs of influence/lines of connection behind much online activity – and considerations about how to use it most productively in relation to research and teacher professional development. This webinar offered implications for thinking critically about online social spaces and professional online engagement.

Dr. James Robson is Lecturer in Higher Education in the Department of Education, University of Oxford. One of his research interests is digitalisation and skills supply in professional settings.
