Psychology History Teacher Network
This network has been established by Carol Brown, a DPhil student, who is undertaking research into students’ experience preparing for high stakes A level exams.
Carol taught Psychology for 15 years in Oxfordshire schools and is well aware of the range of challenges that teachers face. She has built a list of local contacts to put teachers in touch with one another and for the past few years has run an annual training day, with the most recent one focused on developing teachers’ subject knowledge to teach the statistical content required by the new A level specifications. This was led by Carol, with additional teaching from Dr James Hall, a postdoctoral researcher at OUDE, who runs the research methods training for the MSc in Education.
You can download the programme for the day here.
