Positive and negative reinforcement on motivation

For her Part 2 investigation, Philippa was interested in how students and teachers perceived positive and negative reinforcements, and how reinforcements might affect learning motivation.

She found that positive reinforcement focused largely on fostering extrinsic motivation. Interestingly, praise was perceived differently by different year groups.
