Students’ perceptions and experience of maths in mixed attainment groups

Tom Francome from Loughborough University is coming to talk about his research with schools in Birmingham looking at how teaching maths in mixed attainment groups affected students’ perceptions and experiences of maths in secondary school. Tom was one of the teachers in the participating schools at the time of the research and there are some interesting findings that many maths teachers are likely to find interesting and thought provoking.
